The Odd Piece -The First home furnishing boutique
The Odd Piece opens its first home furnishing boutique in the heart of Dubai’s latest lifestyle destination, Wasl Square.
After the success of The Odd Piece’s first exhibition last January at the DIFC, the treasure trove of vintage and modern furniture and accessories opens the doors to its permanent home in the heart of Jumeirah.
The Odd Piece boutique is an exciting and welcome addition to Dubai’s burgeoning home furnishing scene, sparking the interest of collectors, furniture enthusiasts, and homeowners looking for special pieces for their homes and offices.
Creative Director Arwa Hafiz handpicks her eclectic collection of furniture and home accessories from around the globe. Working with master restorers in the region, she refurbishes and redesigns some of her vintage pieces, using vibrant, luxurious fabrics and materials.
“Dubai is a city of sophisticated and diverse tastes”, says Hafiz. “The Odd Piece embraces the best of vintage and contemporary style home furnishings, and we strive to give our clients pieces that are truly unique and exclusive in a market saturated with mass production. After all, our homes are a special reflection of ourselves and our creativity”.
Among the highlights of The Odd Piece’s latest collection are wooden ‘kidney’ tables recreated in a range of block tones of blue, pink and purple lacquer with ebonized legs; 1950s sofas and chairs, with their curvaceous silhouettes upholstered in a floral satin fabric; and statement pieces such as masterpiece mirrors, brass accessories, vintage Moroccan rugs and intricately hand stitched canvas chairs and stools.
The Odd Piece collection is also available online at www.the-oddpiece.com and ships to clients around the world.
