Limited Edition Timepieces and Writing Instruments make Middle East Debut

 Abu Dhabi, UAE – November 26, 2013:  In celebration of the opening of its latest Middle East boutique in The Galleria, Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi, Montblanc hosted an “Extraordinary Evening of Passion, Creativity & Heritage” for 150 high profile guests and friends of the luxury brand.

Welcomed by Montblanc’s Global CEO, Jerome Lambert, guests enjoyed an evening of exquisite artistry, entertainment and elegant hospitality that combined the heritage and passion of both the luxury maison and the culture of Abu Dhabi.

Paying homage to one particular passion of the region, falconry, the world’s first Montblanc falcon glove was presented during the evening.  Crafted in the finest calf and alligator skin by the maison’s artisans in its Pelletteria in Florence, Italy, the unique glove will be on display in The Galleria boutique.

As part of the glamorous event, a number of limited edition timepieces and writing instruments premiered in the Middle East for the first time.  Guests were invited to tour an exhibition that included the Montblanc Villeret ExoTourbillon Rattrapante, of which there are only 18 in the world, and a perfect example of the finest craftsmanship and best Swiss watchmaking tradition for which Montblanc’s Villeret and Le Locle manufactures are renowned.

Also on display were the Timewriter I: Metamorphosis and Timewriter II: Chronographe Bi-Fréquence 1,000 from the Montblanc Collection Villeret 1858, among other exclusive timepieces brought to Abu Dhabi especially for the evening.

With an active community of passionate collectors in the UAE of Montblanc writing instruments, the exhibition showcased a number of special, limited and artisan editions, as well as two unique pieces.

The exquisite Ruby fountain pen, crafted in 750 red gold and set with 352 diamonds and 315 rubies, is the only one of its kind in the world and is currently on display at the Montblanc boutique in The Galleria.  The Atelier Privé Limited Edition Bohème Roses Précieuses, an exquisite unique writing instrument inspired by Montblanc’s dedication to culture and poetry, with the rose a central theme, dazzles with an intricate and delicate design in yellow gold and more than 1,100 diamonds.
