Billabong Women presents Neon Safari
DUBAI, UAE – While Billabong’s womens apparel line-up is always known for its boho-chic style, it’s also safe to say that the brand’s design direction is one that also lies strong in its travel adventures. And this season in particular, it’s all about heavy beading and embroidery. It’s details over details. It’s Africa meets Gypset at its finest.
Inspired by the Ndebele Tribe, Neon Safari is a luxurious scattering of tribal embellishments with hints of other wonderful touches. Probably seen best in the Boswana Jacket (the brand’s own spin-off of the iconic Little Black Jacket) and the Zanzibar Bikini, you’d notice that the fabric selection for the season have been deliberately texturised for that authentic tribal look.
Based on a palette of dusty reds and earthy browns mixed back with washed blacks and hints of citrus, this season’s choice Desert Bloom print is also introduced to a selection of skirts, tops and dresses to represent the effervescence of the African plains. The collection’s secondary yardage is animal print with a twist; playing with placement artwork and a quirky jungle parade feel (Zambia Dress).
Billabong Womens’ Neon Safari Collection will be available in all Billabong stores country wide from August 2014.
