Van Eyck jewelry shines in stunning Middle East launch
Her Excellency Dominique Mineur, Ambassador of the Republic of Belgium to the United Arab Emirates, graces bespoke preview event
14 December 2014: Dubai’s most discerning jewellery buyers, socialites and fashion figures, flocked to Opera Gallery Dubai earlier this month, for the exclusive launch of Van Eyck Jewelry in the Middle East.
Taking place in the gallery’s exquisite ‘black room’, home to numerous Picasso, Miro and Chagall paintings, the Belgian jeweller displayed their latest collection, inspired by remarkable birds native to Papua.
The collection, which consists of 25 intricately designed rings, impressed guests with its high levels of craftsmanship and dazzling stones. With all pieces limited edition and the stones sourced ethically via the Kimberly Process, guests also enjoyed hearing of the collection’s provenance.
Alon Garty, Van Eyck’s CEO & Founder, said: “We’re excited to enter into the region and believe our ‘Birds of Papua’ collection will really resonate with buyers here in the Middle East.
“The collection focusses on creating a unique identity for its owners, setting them apart through their choice of design. We know Middle Eastern clients look out for this style of design and are extremely conscious of craftsmanship and having a story behind the jewelry they wear. We’re confident this collection meets these needs and look forward to seeing our clients enjoy their jewelry soon.”
The event was attended by Her Excellency Dominique Mineur, Ambassador of the Republic of Belgium to the United Arab Emirates, who made a short speech praising Van Eyck’s entrance into the region.
“Her Excellency’s presence and speech at the event was fantastic endorsement for our collection,” said Garty. “Together we are hoping to promote Belgium’s relationship with the Middle East, showcasing all our country has to offer in this market.”
A select number of pieces from the collection are available via Van Eyck’s local partner, Infinity Diamonds Dubai.
