Ceramic touch technology made its world premiere at Rado in 2013 and makes a welcome return in 2014 on a new gent’s model from the popular Rado HyperChrome family.

Good looks are always guaranteed at Rado, but this men’s model will dazzle with its functions as well as its pretty face. Five all new references make up the first selection of touch technology complications and there’s a technical Rado twist with the materials too.

Slim, streamlined and featuring the now famous Rado monobloc case construction, the new Rado HyperChrome Ceramic Touch Dual Timer is the perfect package for the breakthrough technology which sits inside the case. It’s a complication that’s simple to use and doesn’t need a crown.

Dual Timer: A touch of manliness

Two hands on the main dial display the time where you are now and two hands on the small dial at 6 o’clock show the second time zone.

The main time display is set using sensors at the top of the case. After activation slide your finger along the left hand side of the case to change the hours and on the right hand side to change the minutes. The minutes on the two time zones are synchronised to guarantee accuracy and both minute hands will move during time setting on the main dial.

The small dial is set using the sensors at the bottom of the case. After activation slide your finger along the left hand side of the case to change the hours and on the right to change the minutes in quarter hour intervals. 15 minutes is the smallest difference between world time zones and the quartz movement in this new Rado watch makes changing this interval super simple as well as ultra quick. Technology has made possible what cannot be achieved with a mechanical watch: a 15 minute leap forward or back across time zones.

Need to change the second time zone to the main display as you cross time zones? No problem. Touch the ceramic case at 9 and 3 o’clock simultaneously and watch time fly as the Rado magic swaps the times on the dials.

For the man who travels this is the perfect timepiece. Lightweight, hypoallergenic and scratch-resistant it can stay on your wrist whatever you have planned.  In full high-tech ceramic you won’t even need to take it off to get through airport security.

Presented in matt black with rose gold coloured details and a stylish leather strap, shiny white for a dashing dose of flamboyant style, polished black on a ceramic bracelet, shiny grey with rose gold coloured details or ground-breaking matt grey with rhodium details there’s a model guaranteed to go with your travel wardrobe.

The Rado HyperChrome Ceramic Touch Dual Timer: it won’t slow you down and you’ll never lose your cool.
