Pomellato, the pioneer in prêt-à-porter jewellery has launched a new collection-Rouge Passion which is available exclusively at Bloomingdale’s, Dubai. The colour red, which symbolises desire, passion, feminity and other intense emotions, is the colour of choice for the Rouge Passion collection. Pomellato uses synthetic rubies, tangerine sapphires and pink sapphires backed with mother-of-pearl to bring shades of intense red.

As with every piece Pomellato churns out, the Rouge Passion earrings, rings and pendants display the Milanese Maison’s fine craftsmanship. The intense red hue of the cabochon drop stones is set in 9 carat gold to complement the look. These new red gems epitomise the ever-innovative spirit of Pomellato. Their ingenuity and unconventional flair is what made them pioneers in using coloured semi-precious stones in fine jewellery.

Actress Tilda Swinton, Pomellato’s muse and renowned director and photographer Solve Sundsbo are teaming up for the press campaign dedicated to the Rouge Passion collection. Rouge Passion is yet another example of Pomellato’s prêt-a-porter philosophy that jewels are to be worn as an accessory, with playful nonchalance and a spirited ‘mix and match’ attitude. Pomellato’s Rouge Collection can now be found in the UAE, exclusively in the Fine Jewellery and Watches Department located on the Ground Floor, Bloomingdale’s-Dubai, The Dubai Mall.

Pomellato began operating in 1967, introducing the concept of prêt-à-porter jewellery, the idea that jewellery is not just a status symbol but an accessory to be worn at any moment of the day and changed like clothes. In 2007, to celebrate its 40th year, Pomellato made its debut in ‘high-end’ jewellery with the launch of the Pom Pom collection. French multinational holding company Kering acquired Pomellato in July 2013.
