Last month, I attended the opening ceremony of  the luxury fragrance house Plethora Perfume. Its the flagship store located at the Palm Strips Mall, Jumeirah.

The event was attended by VIPs and top notch Media from the region.

The store holds some of the most prestigious perfume brands in the world.

We were given a tour of the store along with brief introduction and stories behind the creation of the fragrances.

Plethora Perfumes even holds 3 of its luxurious private collections. The creation of each these fragrance begins with a long, well-thought out idea to elicit emotions from a simple combination of royal raw materials”.

Currently PLETHORA holds the following brands in its store:

AGONIST

AGONIST is a Swedish perfume brand founded by the creative couple Christine and Niclas Lydeen, launched in 2008. AGONIST creates unique unisex fragrances in collaboration with renowned perfumers using natural ingredients.

Blood Concept

Blood Concept was created in 2010 by Antonio Zuddas and Giovanni Castelli, both from Milan. The concept remains faithful to the original idea: to interpret the “blood” varieties according to the infinite shades of human identity and its experiences.

Boadicea the Victorious

Boadicea the Victorious fragrances are an ode to the brave queen of the Celts who fought courageously against the Romans in the name of her people. Her symbol was a necklace in gold metal that has become the distinctive trademark engraved on each bottle.

So Oud

It is in fact the perfume that becomes a way of expressing personal individuality. The sensuality of oriental fragrances, intriguing and passionate, typical of the Arab world, encounters a French soul and refined finish in So Oud.

AZAGURY

Jacques Azagury stands among the most distinguished couturiers of the 20th and 21st centuries. He launched his perfume collection in 2013. An explosion of creativity captured in six pure transparent crystal flacons, each accented by a colored ring chosen by the designer corresponding to each fragrance’s name: Black, Green, Yellow, Pink, Wenge, and White.

ROADS

ROADS is a contemporary and highly creative lifestyle brand based in Dublin, Ireland. Founded in 2013. the fragrances explore new paths of research, leaving the door open to new forms of olfactory poetry.

AEDES DE VENUSTAS

AEDES DE VENUSTAS honors the past, present and future of perfumery with its first signature scent. Housed in aubergine glass the bottle disrupts classic rules of design with its round and square shape, hinting at the unique construction of the fragrance housed within its body.

REPROFUMO

Italian brand, and the fragrances are created by famous international noses who have been inspired by the stories of this unique novel set in a languid, decadent, simply irresistible Venice. The fantasy romance “Re Profumo – La ricchezza è saper sognare”, written one year ago by Fulvio Fronzoni, spurred the olfactory development of a perfume collection inspired by the characters of the book.

SANTA EULALIA

Santa Eulalia, the storied fashion boutique and atelier. The fragrances: Albis, Marinis, Citric, Nectar, Vesper and Obscuro are enclosed in a minimalist treasure box created by the graphic designer Mario Eskenazi, lover of typography and a master of modern design.

Ramon Bejar

Ramón Bejar, one of the best perfumers in the world and creator of internationally acclaimed niche fragrances that raised him as the main conciliator between Eastern and Western perfumery. The brand is a combination between naturalness and sophistication, a new way to understand and feel the perfumes in a unique way.

NICOLAÏ

NICOLAÏ was founded in 1989 by Patricia de Nicolaï , and it is one of the rare perfume companies to integrate everything from conception to production and from the purchase of essential oils to the conditioning of finished products.

Thomas Kosmala

The Oud Collection by Thomas Kosmala captures the essence of oud, the rare and highly treasured resin from the heartwood of the Aquilaria tree in Laos. Universally celebrated for its deeply sharp qualities, but with sumptuous warmth, Oud evokes the mystery and timeless imprint of memory.

Nomenclature

Nomenclature was conceived in New York by Karl Bradly and Carlos Quintero. While natural essences bask in the limelight, synthetics are the clandestine infiltrators that spark off fragrant revolutions.

Lab on Fire.

A Lab On Fire is a limited-production fragrance house shrouded in the mystery and genius of brilliant collaborations with the brightest talents in the perfume industry. Each contemporary fragrance is designed by a famous nose with the highest quality and freshness, evoking ingenuity and refinement.

Andree Putman

Andrée Putman Collection presents itself with six olfactory itineraries: (L’Original, Figue en Fleur, Tan d’Epices, Formidable Man, Magnolys, Un Peu d’Amour) that embody the same sense of incomparable style that made Andrée Putman an iconic figure for both the design and the fashion worlds.

LAMBORGHINI

In 2014 the historic brand Automobile Lamborghini launched “L1” , the  perfume capable of evoking the same powerful emotions and feelings experienced at the wheel of a Lamborghini vehicle.

Casamorati

Casamorati is a collection of vintage fragrances by Xerjoff, inspired by the ancient art of Italian perfumery.

The brand recreates the history of this glorious house of fragrances founded in Italy in the 19th centuries, with the intention of safeguarding the historical and artistic heritage of the glamorous Art Nouveau era.
