Victoria Strange set the stage with Glitter and Gold! at Style Arabia’s fashion show
Designer Olga Nurek dazzles with black and gold motifs
Victoria Strange Couture, the couture brand spearheaded by intrepid chief designer and ESMOD graduate Olga Nurek, put its best foot forward in blazing a catwalk trail at Style Arabia’s October 1st 2013 fashion event.
The show, held at the magnificent Oberoi Hotel near the placid waters of Dubai’s Business Bay, was a celebration of haute couture. It was hosted by Style Arabia, the annual couture extravaganza where couture brands and enterprising designers share their latest inspirations.
Nurek dazzled with a collection of black contemporary ball gowns and dresses worked with intricate gold motifs. The stunningly beautiful creations boasted flowing lines, tapered waists and stunning gold embroidery that hypnotized against its black fabric backdrops.
The beautifully fitted creations are part of Nurek’s Black and Gold evening wear line. The simplicity of the two-tone theme sits in stark contrast to the obvious complexity of the fabric and embossed patterns. The end result is a sartorial statement that exudes class and appeals to elegant sophistication.
“I am delighted to have had a chance to show Victoria Strange Couture to such a fashion-aware audience at the Style Arabia event. The Black and Gold line encapsulates my ambition to create beautiful dresses that celebrate a sense of occasion combined with class and elegance. Each piece was carefully chosen to show how we tailor individual gowns to create the perfect fit, not just in terms of physique but also culture and occasion,” Nurek said.
Olga Nurek was joined by celebrated designers Nariman Zeidan and Amato as the trio put together a beautifully rewarding sartorial ensemble at the event. The fashion show, mainly aimed at a female audience, was attended by an appreciative 200-strong audience of Dubai’s VIPs, media and socialites.
