For Diesel Black Gold 2014 Resort, Andreas Melbostad continues his creative reinterpretation of the brand’s core values – edgy, rock chic and denim-inspired.

The result is a smart approach to the summer holiday season, where lean and tailored silhouettes create a streamlined style, focusing on the classic DBG color palette: black, white, grey and olive.

Work wear is a key theme of the collection, which draws inspiration from engineers, painters, factory workers and firefighters, featuring style hybrids – two pieces in one. Technical elements and functional pockets combined with  eyelet hooks and a high-visibility stripes motif rendered on leather bands.

A focus on denim research and innovation is crucial in the collection. Indigo-inspired garments appear across a range of categories and cut with other fabrics combining structure with fluid materials: silk, leather or patchwork denim.

Geometric black prints impressed on candid denim outline bandana patterns for a tribal effect filled with wilderness and symbolic references. This Resort collection represents a hymn to free and personal interpretation of style promoting contamination and individuality.

Diesel Black Gold IT-bag for Resort 2014 is named “Four”: squared, clean, essential but with a strong character.

Four as the distinctive chrome studs decorating the classic totes, clutches and iPad cases: metallic details which identify Diesel Black Gold aesthetics and rock attitude, reinterpreting the brand’s core values.

The Four bags were firstly introduced at Diesel Black Gold Fall 13 runway show, creating an iconic modern shape, inspired by the irreverent biker concept of the season – strong yet feminine silhouettes.

One style is creatively transformed into diverse interpretations to suit daytime and night time needs. Ten variations in soft-silky hand feel fabric, characterized by solid colour block graphics, emphasize their bold shape.
