BCBGMAXAZRIA SS16 RUNWAY Showcase at Layali Beach, Al Qasr
Hello Everyone 🙂
On 12th March 2016, I visited Layali Beach, Al Qasr to witness the SS 2016 Runway Show for BCBGMAXAZRIA
The event was attended by top notch media, socialites and VIPs from the region.
The location and the weather was perfect. It was the most ‘instagramable’ place to watch the sun go down.
The private beach and iconic Burj Al Arab photo opp meant the venue was the perfect backdrop for the much talked about BCBGMAXAZRIA SS16 RUNWAY collection.
The relaxed, bohemian RUNWAY collection is all about layering and playing with proportions, for a totally unique ’So-Cal’ street edge. Think tie-dye knits, floral prints, pastel colours, patchwork fabrics and easy silhouettes.
Models strutted out – the stage a background of surfboards spelling out BCBGMAXAZRIA – wearing 70’s bucket hats and shades.
Canapes served included: truffle laced rye bites, spicy salmon tartare, king prawn skewers and an array of pop art coloured desserts – not including the ice cream cart.
Guests could also decorate themselves with metallic flash tattoos, intricate henna designs or even have a caricature painted.
Entertainment came in the form of the model-turned-singer Joanna Broomfield playing an acoustic set at sunset, alongside DJ Miss P.M spinning until after dark.
The event continued till late evening and there was nothing but Fun, Fashion and Entertainment all throughout the event 🙂
More about the SS 2016 Collection
March 2016 – Dubai: BCBGMAXAZRIA launches its “Spring 2016” Runway Collection – now available across the GCC.
For Spring 2016, BCBGMAXAZRIA RUNWAY embraces its Californian roots, fusing a youthful spirit – fluent in the cultures of surf, skate and music – in an innate play on new proportions, and a “So-Cal” street edge.
From sunrise to sunset, gradating hues envelop the collection. Crips whites, water-washed blues, golden yellows and shell pinks transition into pigment-dye indigo, henna and olive with a touch of gold.
Tie-dyed knits and sweaters, intricate patchwork fabrics and richly textured embroideries are cut in easy silhouettes and layered in an unexpected way.
Fingered moccasins, cross-body saddlebags and patchwork bucket hats characterize the eclectic collage of individual expression.
