From street culture to the Amazon: The Aigner Leather Collection S/S 2014 takes you on a journey into the heart of Brazil – to the vibrant metropolis of Rio de Janeiro. The luxurious bag creations of the Munich-based leather lifestyle brand were inspired by fiery samba rhythms, the sweeping exuberance of the famous Brazilian carnival and Rio’s urban exotic flair. The collection also embodies the beauty and power of South American women in the exciting city.

Senior designer Christian Beck combines this urban joie de vivre with Brazil’s exotic nature. Elaborate embossing patterns on the leather reflect the country’s lush flora and fauna: The surface structures of crocodile and lizard skin, raffia texture, handcrafted braided elements and Saffiano leather symbolize the richness of the rainforest.

The colours of this leather collection echoes the intense and varied hues of South America: Bright, radiant shades of Pink, Yellow, Orange and Green mingle with subtle nuances of Gold, Terra and Nude.

 

The creative and carefully crafted details of the luxury bags are an expression of Aigner’s love for leather: One of the highlights is the new interpretation of the Aigner logo as a leopard print combined with bright contrasting colours. In the Collection S/S 2014, Aigner’s signature traditional craftsmanship meets modern design elements and big, bold colour blocking. The exotic, fresh world of the Amazon rainforest: Palm Green, Rio Blue and Toucan Yellow paired with White and Raffia hues.

SUBLIME NATURE

Soft, clean natural shades: Amazon Green, Apricot, Terra and Bahia Brown.

COPA CARNIVAL

The strong, feminine and intense colours represent joy, dance and driving rhythms: Heliconia, Pitaya Red and Gold, anchored by Acacia Brown.
