Calligraphy remains Aenis Eunis’s signature touch for Fall/Winter 2013/2014. Letters are carved out on the front and sides of stilettos to reveal moments of exposed skin, injecting a sense of mystique and sensuality. And there is more in store; a sound track was developed to introduce the styles through music with the voice of a Nizar Qabani’s reciting a poem on love in the background. “This collection is for a daring, confident woman who wants to add a hint of shine to her wardrobe without necessarily calling for attention” says Anas.

In a puzzle-like manner of using materials of leather upon leather, the designs exhibit a fusion of Arabic letters jumping unexpectedly coupled with suede and arranged once more to wrap around the ankle and accentuate the legs making for a dramatic effect. Heals are available in multiple heights for various styles ranging from flats to high platforms. The color palette for this collection is quite subtle, celebrating a “no color” scheme, manifested in variations of reflective textures for majestic play. The collection makes use of the latest technology in the leather industry expressing the richness of the material. Handbags and clutches of this collection are designed with accessories and metal buckles with letters morphed especially for the hand, carrying on the careful sense of detailing in Aenis Eunis’s designs.

This season the Aenis Eunis brand has moved deeper into Europe, with the collection available at high-end stores in Geneva, Rome, Vienna, Porto Cervo, and is also available in Miami. The brand is still selling in the Gulf at Saks Fifth Avenue in Dubai and Bahrain as well as Level Shoe District.
